With a focus on portraiture and documentary work, I seek conscious encounters rather than fugitive moments. Rooted in a socio-cultural exploration of urban environments as well as psychological inner worlds, my work revolves around themes of place identity, transition and belonging.

Born and raised in Germany, I have lived and worked in numerous cities including Berlin, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, London, and New York. Holding degrees in Graphic Design and Visual Communication, I have worked as a freelance photographer as well as a designer and art director in print publications and photo productions.

In the recent past, I accomplished the Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism program at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City, and have earned my Master’s degree in Photography and Urban Cultures at the sociology department of Goldsmiths, University of London.
