With a focus on portraiture and documentary work, I seek conscious encounters rather than fugitive moments. Rooted in a socio-cultural exploration of urban environments as well as psychological inner worlds, my work revolves around themes of place identity, transition and belonging.

Born and raised in Germany, I have lived and worked in numerous cities including Berlin, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, London, and New York. Holding degrees in Graphic Design and Visual Communication, I have worked as a freelance photographer as well as a designer and art director in print publications and photo productions. I am a recent graduate of the Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism program at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City – and am currently working on my Master’s dissertation in Photography and Urban Cultures at the sociology department of Goldsmiths, University of London.
